I was hoping someone could help me remember a system I used to own when I was in primary school (I'm 28 so it's not too old). This was the first stepping stone that introduced me into gaming after a friend retro fit a video card to it (full height video card half height case) lol. The biggest problem is I have only a very faint memory of it.
The things I distinctively remember about it are that it was a pre built system (ie acer, hp, ibm, compaq), it was a low profile desktop (ie similar to a modern day htpc), it had blue on the front, it had a amd k6 (i think it was 400-450mhz), fairly sure it had no agp slot on the motherboard (don't hold me to this), on board sound and video.
Help me find a system
Re: Help me find a system
Blue on the front sounds immediately like IBM. Maybe an Aptiva? They did those in K6, but as far as I can find, only in a tower. Dell Optiplex systems from that era tended to be Intel only, but they have a splash of blue on their badges.
Re: Help me find a system
This rings a bell just can't seem to find a model

Re: Help me find a system
Could be the PC 300GL

It's Socket 7, and I doubt it would support the K6-2, maximum seems to be a 233MMX.
Specs of IBM desktops '94-'00 - http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/dwbook.pdf

That is a really nice looking system! Probably Japan only though. Could try Yahoo JP auctions?
Edit - nope, that's the monitor code

Was purchased locally from Chandler Electronics from what I remember, I've probably got SFA finding one though only links I can find for it are japanese.
Re: Help me find a system
front usb ports and all would have been very modern for the time especially on SS7 stuff.
