Show off a CPU from your collection
Show off a CPU from your collection
So I thought I should get the ball rolling. Show off a CPU from your collection and why you think it is cool.
Today is my new in box Pentium 66 SX950, this one does not have the FDIV bug but it is unused and looks great.
I have a few other socket 4 pentiums but none have the "Intel Pentium" logo still visible (or at least in good condition).

Match that raise it with NEW badass x8 pack
These are basically your mobile processors start @ 1.6volties & enough headroom for 50% OC
Very cool in they're day. Still can purchase new

Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
LoL I spot a heap of processors under the bubblewrap
You are in trouble if I go to one of my drawers.
Will be a long night.

Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
Show us one of your rarer CPUs, I have a few hard to get ones...
Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
Rare cpu collecting is not my thing. Collecting majority of them before they all disappear is. LoL
Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
An old pic of mine. As mostly all in machines.
Pair of sequenced serial Pro's. Hope I had a hand in US recyclers
respecting these from many previous discussions

Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
Another P Pro saved from the recyclers. Though it wasn't cheap. This one is a 150/256k to join its sibling in the Vectra. Just need a heat sink for it

Legend " Insert thumbs up " Any save is a good save.

Very nice, love the Pentium Pros.
Today for me is an AMD K5! I wouldn't mind building a K5 machine one day...

Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
I use to work at a Toshiba service centre back in the day, and came across this processor while cleaning out my garage:
p3 sl5xl - 1.4ghz, baddest pentium 3 processor intel made
anyone have a use for it?

Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
I wouldn't say no
Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
I have an Pentium 2 overdrive socket 8 CPU 333mhz but have never been able to locate a Socket 8 board for it. I think these are pretty rare now, I've also got a few 1.4GHZ P3's I saved from some servers being binned.
Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
I don't often buy retro gear these days. My most recent purchase was early last year. The middle CPU is an older purchase. I'm sure there's another one out there but it appears I have the only Stepping 1 Revision 3 Cyrix CPU to have been reported and it came from this crude little shop in Osaka, Japan.
Cyrix 5x86 120MHz ( unknown stepping, revision)
Cyrix 5x86 120MHz (stepping 1 revision 3)
Cyrix 5x86 (unmarked and unknown)

Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
Have any big Cyrix stashed? Think best here is a 333
Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
I've got quite a bit of kit. I'll have to open the stash and check sometime. Most of the stuff I actually value is socket 3.
Re: Show off a CPU from your collection
Bought this a while back.
NOS Cyrix? Couldn't help myself! Even if it's more VIA than Cyrix...
